Toilet Inspections
On the toilet rebate application, participants are required to sign an agreement to all terms and conditions, including the authorization of a toilet inspection by representatives of The Regional Municipality of York.
Approximately 10 per cent of the toilets purchased through the rebate program will be inspected. The results will be used to help estimate the amount of water saved by York Region residents as a result of the Water for Tomorrow program as well as gauge the level of user satisfaction. The results will help us plan future Water for Tomorrow initiatives.
If you are selected for an inspection, you will be contacted via telephone for a short survey and to arrange a time that is convenient for the inspector to visit your home. The inspection should only take 10 to 15 minutes.
The inspectors will be carrying a York Region security card with their picture and name. In addition to the inspection, you will be asked a couple of questions regarding your satisfaction with the program.
If you have any questions regarding the inspection of your toilet please call 1-877-463-3261.
